Ancient Ski Pro, Weems Westfeldt Writes Ski Book Bridging the Gap between Old Ski School Systems and Modern Skiing Fun
Weems Westfeldt, a long-time ski pro with the Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen/Snowmass offers a new strategy for sustainable improvement for all levels of skiers while exploring the excitement and fun of modern skiing.
Aspen, CO (PRWEB) October 11, 2005 — Weems Westfeldt, a long-time ski pro with the Ski & Snowboard Schools of Aspen/Snowmass, announces the publication of his new ski book. The new book, packed with over 100 useful pointers, is called “Brilliant Skiing, Every Day” and offers a new strategy for sustainable improvement for all levels of skiers while exploring the excitement and fun of modern skiing.
It is friendly, easy, and informal because, as Westfeldt states, “people who take themselves and skiing too seriously often dont do very well at it!”
The new book serves as an introduction to the Sports Diamond” - a strategy for helping skiers access their own best skiing every day. Unlike traditional ski books, this book does not advocate any one right way to ski. Rather it offers a system of discovering the best way for each individual in each situation. Early responses from the highest reaches of the ski community range from blank stares of disbelief to mountains of praise.
“Was there ever a more imaginative teacher of skiing? Learning to ski cant get any better than this,” says John Fry, former editor-in-chief of Snow Country and SKI Magazine.
Westfeldt has been in the ski teaching world for more than 40 seasons, and has observed dozens of “the only right ways” to ski come and go. He has taught and managed in ski schools all over the nation and the world, has participated at the highest level with PSIA, the national instructors organization, and has written numerous articles for national magazines, including Powder, Snow Country, Skiing, SKI, and the Professional Skier magazines.
The complete eBook will be available at the online eBook Release Party in November, 2005. For a complimentary download of the first five chapters of “Brilliant Skiing” and an invitation to the eBook Release Party, readers should visit www.edgechange.com.
During the coming winter, Weems Westfeldts Diamond Sessions are offered daily as private lessons as well as Diamond Ski Weeks at his home area of Aspen/Snowmass. Westfeldt will also coach at nationwide ski clinics in the upcoming 2005 / 2006 season.
